Controller — Consumer Brands
This is a hands-on accounting leadership role responsible for accounting delivery across a portfolio of high-growth consumer brands.
The Controller combines strong technical accounting and review skills with client leadership, technology, process improvement, and hands-on execution when needed.

What You’ll Do
- Lead monthly close across a portfolio of clients
- Review financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Own close quality and financial reporting accuracy
- Handle revenue recognition, inventory and landed cost accounting, and other technical accounting matters
- Serve as a primary accounting contact for clients, auditors, lenders, and tax providers
- Coach and review accounting staff
- Lead client onboarding and accounting system implementations
- Standardize and improve accounting processes
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve accounting workflows
- Support lender, investor, and transaction diligence
- Remain hands-on and step into the work when needed
Who We’re Looking For
- Accounting degree
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Significant close and review experience
- Strong accounting fundamentals
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfort using AI and automation as part of everyday accounting work
- Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
Particularly relevant backgrounds include:
- CPA — helpful, but not required
- Consumer-brand experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, BILL, Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Stripe, Ramp, and inventory systems
